Logitech MX Master 3S — Advanced Review
The consensus work mouse — buy it unless your hands run small or you're left-handed.
The verdict
Independent testing labs rate it among the best office mice they have tested, and major technology reviewers have kept it at the top of their productivity picks four years after launch. Reviewers converge on the same points: the sculpted shape carries a full workday without strain, the MagSpeed wheel spins through thousand-row spreadsheets, and the 90-percent-quieter clicks are a genuine open-office courtesy. The criticisms are just as consistent — it fits medium-to-large right hands only, and the Logi Options+ software does more in the background than some owners want. Nobody seriously disputes that it is the default answer to 'which mouse for work.'
Rated by category
- Ergonomics. Sculpted palm-fill shape for right-handed, medium-to-large hands; comfort over eight hours is the whole point
- Scrolling & controls. Electromagnetic MagSpeed wheel plus thumb wheel and gesture button; nothing else scrolls like it
- Battery life. Roughly a month per USB-C charge in reviewers' real-world testing
- Software. Logi Options+ enables per-app profiles and Flow, but runs heavier than it should
What reviewers praise
- All-day ergonomic comfort
- MagSpeed scroll wheel
- Tracks on glass
- Weeks of battery per charge
Worth knowing
- Too large for small hands
- Options+ software can feel bloated
Price and value
At $99.99 it sits at the top of mainstream productivity mice, but it outlasts and outworks everything cheaper — cost per year of daily use is trivial.
How it compares
Against the smaller Logitech MX Anywhere 3S you gain the full-size sculpt and thumb wheel; against gaming mice you trade light weight and RGB for comfort that holds up over a full workday.
The bottom line
The consensus work mouse — buy it unless your hands run small or you're left-handed.
How this review works
This isn't one editor's opinion. MyBase's Advanced Review is our own AI-synthesized editorial assessment: it draws on the published verdicts of the industry's most trusted independent expert reviewers and testing publications, alongside large pools of verified-owner reviews, and weighs them together into a single clear verdict. Expert testing is weighed alongside real-world owner consensus, so the rating reflects how a product actually performs — not how it's marketed.
