Roborock Saros 10R — Advanced Review
A near-flagship robot vacuum-mop for people who want hands-off cleaning and can absorb the price.
The verdict
The Saros 10R lands near the top of current robot-vacuum rankings because reviewers credit Roborock with leading the category on the features that matter most: strong suction, reliable AI-driven obstacle avoidance, and a notably slim chassis that clears under more furniture than rivals. The independent testing labs highlight its self-emptying, mop-washing and -drying dock and dual-spinning mop pads that lift over carpet, plus accurate LiDAR-class navigation that maps and routes efficiently. With a smaller but growing owner-review pool, owner feedback aligns with the expert take, praising thorough cleaning and low day-to-day intervention while noting these high-end docks demand space and a premium outlay. The 4.6 reflects a genuinely excellent flagship whose deductions are mostly price and the usual robot-vacuum edge cases rather than performance gaps.
Rated by category
- Obstacle Avoidance. StarSight 2.0 earned a first-ever perfect obstacle-avoidance score in independent testing; the best on the market.
- Navigation & Design. At just 3.14 in tall it slides under furniture rivals can't, with fast, accurate mapping.
- Cleaning Performance. Strong, consistent vacuum and mop results across surfaces, with a capable self-maintaining dock.
- Value. Flagship features at a flagship price; the tech is superb but hard to justify at full MSRP.
What reviewers praise
- strong suction with effective mopping
- reliable obstacle avoidance and navigation
- ultra-slim profile for low-clearance furniture
- fully automated self-cleaning dock
Worth knowing
- premium price
- large dock requires dedicated floor space
Price and value
At about $1,599 (dropping near $999 on sale) it is a pay-for-the-best flagship — worth it only if class-leading obstacle avoidance and ultra-slim design matter, otherwise the value is thin at full price.
How it compares
It out-navigates the Dreame X50 and Ecovacs Deebot X8 flagships and is the smartest vac tested, but those rivals deliver 90% of the experience for meaningfully less money.
The bottom line
A near-flagship robot vacuum-mop for people who want hands-off cleaning and can absorb the price.
How this review works
This isn't one editor's opinion. MyBase's Advanced Review is our own AI-synthesized editorial assessment: it draws on the published verdicts of the industry's most trusted independent expert reviewers and testing publications, alongside large pools of verified-owner reviews, and weighs them together into a single clear verdict. Expert testing is weighed alongside real-world owner consensus, so the rating reflects how a product actually performs — not how it's marketed.
