Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra — Advanced Review
The best big-screen Android tablet for power users who want an iPad Pro alternative without leaving the Samsung ecosystem.
The verdict
The Tab S11 Ultra sits at the top of the Android tablet world, and reviewers consistently frame it as the closest Android answer to a do-everything iPad Pro. Lab display testing rewards its huge, high-refresh AMOLED panel for excellent contrast, deep blacks, and strong outdoor brightness, while reviewers credit the bundled S Pen and Samsung's DeX desktop mode for genuine productivity rather than gimmickry. Independent lab evaluation backs the strong build quality, long battery life, and reliable performance, and verified-owner consensus echoes that it's a premium, well-rounded slate. The 4.6 reflects near-universal praise tempered by Android's weaker tablet-app optimization versus iPadOS.
Rated by category
- Display. 14.6-in AMOLED with anti-reflective coating is the best tablet screen on the market.
- Performance. MediaTek Dimensity 9400 is fast, though sustained loads trail Apple's M-series silicon.
- Productivity & S Pen. Included S Pen, DeX and huge canvas make it a genuine laptop stand-in; Android app scaling still lags.
- Value. Excellent hardware, but the ~$1,200+ starting price is a lot for an Android tablet.
What reviewers praise
- large high-refresh AMOLED display
- bundled S Pen and DeX desktop mode
- premium build and long battery life
- strong multitasking performance
Worth knowing
- Android tablet apps still trail iPadOS optimization
- flagship pricing, especially at higher storage tiers
Price and value
At roughly $1,200 for the base model (and well over $1,400 configured), it's premium-but-worth-it only for buyers who genuinely need the giant OLED and S Pen; casual users pay a lot for that ceiling.
How it compares
It's the pick for a big-screen Android productivity slate, beating the iPad Pro on screen size and bundled stylus, but iPadOS still wins on app quality and tablet-optimized software.
The bottom line
The best big-screen Android tablet for power users who want an iPad Pro alternative without leaving the Samsung ecosystem.
How this review works
This isn't one editor's opinion. MyBase's Advanced Review is our own AI-synthesized editorial assessment: it draws on the published verdicts of the industry's most trusted independent expert reviewers and testing publications, alongside large pools of verified-owner reviews, and weighs them together into a single clear verdict. Expert testing is weighed alongside real-world owner consensus, so the rating reflects how a product actually performs — not how it's marketed.
