Samsung HW-Q990F — Advanced Review
The pick for anyone who wants full, real surround sound without assembling a separate AV receiver and speakers.
The verdict
The HW-Q990F earns a 4.8 as the perennial top pick among reviewers who want a complete true-surround package: the testing labs' extensive measurements credit its 11.1.4-channel system, with a dedicated subwoofer and real rear satellites, for delivering full, enveloping Atmos and class-leading dynamics straight out of the box. Critics consistently rank the Q990 series at the top of their soundbar charts for sheer surround immersion and bass, and independent testing labs backs its performance and feature depth. The large verified-owner pool agrees it's a near-complete home-theater system in a box, with strong gaming support including 4K/120Hz passthrough. Its score reflects broad expert and owner consensus that few systems match its all-in-one surround capability.

- Features. Q-Symphony, wireless Dolby Atmos, HDMI 2.1 passthrough and strong gaming support; best in class with a Samsung TV.
- Value. A complete 4-piece system for the price of many standalone bars; frequently discounted, making it a standout deal.
