Sony WF-1000XM6 — Advanced Review
The earbuds to beat for anyone who wants flagship noise cancellation in a pocketable form.
The verdict
Sony's flagship 1000X-series earbuds remain the benchmark for true-wireless noise cancellation, and independent testing labs both place this generation at the top of the in-ear field. Rig-based testing credits the line with class-leading ANC for earbuds, a clean tunable signature, and notably improved call performance, alongside a secure, lightweight fit that owners praise for long sessions. Expert and verified-owner sentiment align closely, with the few criticisms centered on price and ecosystem features rather than core audio. That tight consensus on best-in-class isolation and sound is what drives the 4.8.

How it compares
The default flagship earbud pick that beats the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds on features and app control and the AirPods Pro on outright sound and ANC for non-Apple users; AirPods still win on seamless iPhone integration.
