Use the Vault and still sound like you

The Vault gives you reviewed products, no form needed. How Quick add works, what a pick does not earn, and what to add yourself so the page stays yours.

9 October 2026 · 5 min read

A product from the Vault can be on your page in seconds, with no form to fill in: its photo, its description and, where the shop has a page on file, a link to it. That is the easy half. The other half is making it read as a recommendation from you rather than a row from a catalogue, and knowing which products should be your own.

This post covers both: how Quick add works, what a Vault pick does and does not earn, and the one sentence you add so the page stays yours.

What the Vault is

The Vault is MyBase's own curated catalogue. At the time of writing, 9 October 2026, it holds 100 products in five tiers: Pinnacle, Excellence, Innovation, Quality and Essential. Anyone can browse it at the Vault, signed in or not.

MyBase curates it and creators draw products from it. No brand can pay for placement: a product is in the Vault because it earned its spot through review, and the affiliate disclosure says so in writing.

What an Advanced Review is

Every product in the Vault has an Advanced Review. It is MyBase's own AI-synthesised editorial assessment: a verdict, what the product does well, what to watch out for, and a bottom line. It weighs published expert verdicts and owner reviews together into one view, and MyBase is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any publication.

Read it for what it is: a synthesis, not a lab test we ran ourselves. The review tells your reader the product has been looked at. Only your note tells them you use it.

Quick add, step by step

Quick add is the no-form route. It shows for signed-in creators; a signed-out visitor sees the plain card. You can browse the Vault without an account.

  1. Open the Vault and browse until you find something you were going to recommend anyway.
  2. Press Quick add on its card. A short list of shelves opens.
  3. Choose a shelf: Daily Essentials, Luxury Picks or New Discoveries. Those are the default shelf names. The product is now on your page with its photo and description, and it links to the shop's own page where one is on file.

The same button stays useful afterwards: it moves the product to another shelf or takes it off again. It also adds the product to one of your collections, once the product is on a shelf.

What a Vault pick earns, and what it does not

A Vault pick links to the shop's own page, where one is on file. There is no affiliate link on it, so a pick does not earn you a commission by itself. We would rather say that here than have you find it out from an empty affiliate dashboard.

What a pick gives you is a reviewed product on your page in seconds, with nothing to type. That saves time. It is not income.

To earn a commission on a product, add it yourself with your own affiliate link. Whether it pays depends on the program you joined and on what your readers do. How affiliate links pay, and how long a click keeps earning covers the mechanics.

When to add your own product instead

Add a product yourself when any of these is true:

Paste the product link and MyBase prefills the name, brand, image and description from the page's own product data, into empty boxes only. Then you choose a shelf, a category and your affiliate link.

Make a Vault pick yours

On a Vault pick the name, description and links stay as MyBase published them. What you control is the shelf and the note: one sentence above the product, in your own words, on why you chose it. Quick add never fills it in for you, and an import never overwrites it. Edit the product on your page and the note box is there.

Make it specific, and make it true. Wording you can adapt:

Then give the page a shape. One that works:

Vault picks fill the shelves fast, and your own products are where a link can earn. Wherever a product carries your own affiliate link, say so on the page in plain words. The link in bio guide has wording for that.

Limits, and what it will not do

Where to start

Pick the three products you are asked about most. Quick add the ones that are in the Vault, add the rest yourself, and write one true sentence under each. That is a page that sounds like you.

FAQ

Does a Vault pick earn me a commission?

Not by itself. A pick links to the shop's own page with no affiliate link on it. To earn a commission on a product, add it yourself with your own affiliate link.

Can I change a Vault product's description?

No. A Vault product's name, description and links stay as MyBase published them, so every profile shows the same facts. Your note and its shelf are yours.

Can I submit a product to the Vault?

No. There is no open submission process and no brand can pay for placement. A product that is not in the catalogue goes on your page as your own.

Do I need an account to use Quick add?

Yes. Quick add shows for signed-in creators. Signed out, you see the plain product card with no button.
